This UrbanCORE sponsored event at the Dubois Center will feature CHArt affiliate faculty will presenting past and current work to community and civic groups.

THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2024 – 3:30 – 6:00

Affiliate faculty and staff working on projects related to cemeteries, graves, burial traditions, and honoring ancestors will informally be sharing their work in progress and ideas for new projects. Come and listen and participate in the conversation.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2024 – 2:00 – 3:00

CHArt leadership, affiliated faculty, graduate research assistants, and anyone interested is welcome to co-work in Storrs 155 on Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:00 to 4:00. This is an opportunity for informal networking and idea sharing as well as socializing and getting a little work done in a shared enviornment.

This Fall 2023 session was sponsored by CHArt and the Center for Community-engaged Arts and Design Research (CADRe). Sixteen faculty from 12 departments shared recent or in-progress research and many others came to listen and engage.

The Small Grants program aims to promote engagement with heritage and communities through seed grants for collaborative faculty projects.
