What are you working on as part of your research assistantship?
I am currently assisting in research surrounding the opportunity fund.
Why do you think its important to connect heritage and the arts to communities?
Every community has a story behind it and one of the most beautiful things is hearing each one of those stories. By connecting heritage and the arts to the community we are able to amplify voices of our family, neighbors, and ancestors.
What are you studying?
Arts Administration
What kind of career do you hope to have?
I hope to work in a field in which I can help enhance sustainable opportunities for artists and help our country recognize the arts as a necessity, not a commodity. Ideally, while still being able to practice art of my own.
When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?
I really enjoy watching movies and listening to podcasts! Cooking, when time permits, is also a huge passion of mine.
